Summary

The Feast, a New York based events company, hosts a conference and other events throughout the year. These yield energy, excitement, and new connections focused around social innovation. Unfortunately, a lot of that momentum was being lost shortly after their events. With support from The Rockefeller Foundation, The Feast enlisted my help in designing a solution.

Our process began by reviewing the tremendous amount of research The Feast team had compiled previous to my joining the project. This research included user interviews, competitive analysis, and many concept directions. From there, I worked with The Feast team to outline the following problem statement:

To find a way to keep social entrepreneurs, and those who want to support them, connected throughout the year.

From there, I developed and prototyped an email based communication model designed to be low touch for both entrepreneurs and their supporters within The Feast community.

Following 2 rounds of prototyping and user research, I assembled and managed a team that included the talents of Dave Dawson and Big Wheel Brigade. Together, we produced a fully functioning beta of The Feast Connects that was launched at The Feast 2014.
